Yihong Xia Best Paper Award
The Yihong Xia Best Paper Award honors the memory of Yihong Xia(Research Summary, Curricula Vita), formerly an assistant professor of finance at the Wharton School and a distinguished financial economist. The award is sponsored by the Yihong Xia-OYCF Fund and honors outstanding research by a young financial economist. The award will be granted during the annual China International Conference in Finance. The first award has been presented at the 2006 Conference in Xi’an, with a cash prize of US$1,000. Qualified Papers for the Award
Papers presented at the Conference on all topics of financial economics will be considered. Each author must be a junior researcher, which include
1. An author whose highest graduate degree (e.g., Masters, Ph.D. or equivalent) is received from an institution outside Mainland China within 6 years of the Conference date;
2. An author whose highest graduate degree (e.g., Masters, Ph.D. or equivalent) is received from an institution inside Mainland China and whose first academic appointment begins within 8 years of the Conference date;
3. A student who is currently pursuing a graduate degree (e.g., Masters, Ph.D. or equivalent).
The paper will be selected by a committee of scholars. The current selection committee consists of Jun Pan (MIT), Jun Qian (Boston College) and Jiang Wang (MIT) (Chair).
